I met up with Heather about two weeks ago at the Fox Reality awards show and tracked her down on myspace to set up an interview. We chatted for about an hour while she was on her way from Vegas to Los Angeles. Big things are coming her way. She is talking with VH1 about a new show and moving to LA.
Q.
Mark : How did you find out about the show and did you know it would be a dating show with Bret Michaels?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": I began modeling at the age of 12 doing calendars, pageants, etc . When I came to Vegas I kept it up with agencies, and also auditioned for different reality shows. VH1's "The Surreal Life Fame Game" was held in Vegas about a year ago and I ended up partying with everyone from the show.
A few months later the producer for "Rock of Love" contacted me via my myspace page. He didn't tell me anything about the show except that it was a dating show with an 80's rocker. Believe it or not I was hoping it was Bret Michaels, he was the first person I thought of.
Q. Mark: Did you have to drop everything quickly once you found out you were going to be part of the cast?
A.

Q. Mark : Do you talk to Lacey at all and what are your thoughts on her?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": We are friends now, we made up and if I can take anything back I would remove the end of the episode where I lost it on her.
I had been in that house too long and went off the deep end. When I watch the tape and see how it hurt her feelings, I cringe. We really did become friends and no one deserves to be called those names in front their folks.
Q. Mark : Do you feel like the feud with Lacey hurt you in the finals?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": I don't think so, not at all.

Mark : Lacey's myspace blog said she may be hosting a new show. I know your on the way to LA today, where are we going to see you next?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": I am in the car now headed to Los Angeles. I have a meeting with VH1 tomorrow. You will see me on Vh1 in the very near future. I just can't say too much just yet.

Mark : Do you like how you were portrayed on the show?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": There are a lot of parts I would love to remove. We all had our characters on the show. It kinda sucks that I went to college and was one of the most educated in the house and everything I accomplished was overlooked because I was an entertainer in Vegas for a few years.
I like to party, but I'm single, so what's wrong with that.
It's been a tough six months with the show and my finances have been hurt a bit. I don't have the income I used to have but it's what I need to do to get where I want to be. I learned a lot about myself and I realize greed runs Las Vegas. I am sick of the whole thing.

Q. Mark : Everyone I have talked to wants me to ask you about your neck tattoo.
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": I'm not sure what I will do with it. People have offered free tattoo removal and I appreciate all the support coming from everyone.
The public has changed their perception of me since the reunion show. Right now I am in no hurry to get rid of tattoo, it's not that big. Right now it's cool and a great attention getter, since people want to see it and take pics. It was all about the experience.
Q. Mark : Did you have any idea the show would be as popular as it was?
A.
Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": I actually thought it would do very well. For one thing I know I am a fun character and people love to hate me. I knew at the end America would see Heather's soft side and root for me.
Q. Mark : Didn't Brandi C have a crush on you?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": No, she didn't at all.
We just all became really good friends. I am an overly affectionate person when I get hammered.
I want to hang onto people and grab boobs when I am drunk. We just got drunk one night and kissed. There was no tongue. We had been drinking and doing body shots for 12 hours.
Q. Mark : What do you think about Chris Crocker, when we spoke last week you were thinking about moving in with him, Brandi, and Krisita?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": He is wacky, off the wall, and hilarious.
I met him though Brandi and saw him on youtube but no idea how popular he was. We were taking turns on Brandi's computer checking myspace one day. I thought I had a lot of friend requests and messages but when Chris Crocker signed into his page he had like 15, messages and I had like 2, Chris and I get along great. We don't know where we are going to live yet, since Brandi has a two bedroom place now.
I think Chris is still in TN but also moving to LA soon.
Q. Mark : Do you talk with Bret at all?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": Bret and I are friends and we have a very cool relationship. I know he was just in Iraq with Big John. We both are doing our own thing. Even if we don't see eachother for several months we can get into a room with one another crack jokes and have fun.

Mark : Do you think Bret's final question about sharing him with others was bullshit?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": I actually said no but they spliced that part out.
Q. Mark : Ok, I asked members of our site to send me questions and dozens asked if Bret had hair underneath his bandana. I think Lacey's dad asked the same thing.

Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": That's so rude, who cares. Everyone on the west coast has extensions. I don't know but I don't care. It's kind of a shallow question.
Q. Mark : Besides Brandi who do you stay in touch with?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": I just talked to Jess. Jess and I are doing a guest appearance in Hollywood this week, she is a great girl.

Q. Mark : Are you glad you did the show?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": Absolutely, it was best craziest wildest emotional rollercoaster of my life. You can't compare this to anything.

A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": One day I went and read a few with Brandi but the posting someone wrote about me really brought me down and tore me up a bit. I can't read that negative crap so I stay away from it. After the reunion show people are much cooler with me now.

Mark : How has this been for you, it has to be surreal to see yourself all over the web. We talked to you on the red carpet at the FOX REALITY awards. What is this all like, cameras, pictures, red carpet?
A. Heather Chadwell "Rock of Love": It's not weird at all; I knew this day would come.
I have always lived life to the fullest. I haven't always made the best choices, but I keep learning. I always considered myself a rockstar, my nickname is "Hollywood Heather." I have always been a ham so the flashing bulbs make me smile.
Q. Mark : Since you're not dating Bret are you dating anyone?
A.

I am not in that mood right now, so it's not in the cards. I need to relocate from Vegas and focus on myself for a little while. I sacrificed a lot the past six months. Right now I am trying to make a living, have a great life, and travel.
